Armenian Christmas Service & Reception

Since the adoption of Christianity as its state religion in 301 AD, Armenians have celebrated Christmas on January 6. The ACA of Maine is pleased to welcome community members to partake in this tradition at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on January 6, 2024. Armenian Christmas church service will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a reception with refreshments. Donations welcome.

Breaking Borders: The Ethnic Cleansing of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh

Join us on December 6, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the University of Southern Maine McGoldrick Center Conference Room for a panel discussion entitled, Breaking Borders: The Ethnic Cleansing of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh, featuring:

  • Henry Theriault, PhD, a leading figure in genocide studies and Immediate Past President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars;

  • Judith Saryan, an accomplished author, editor, economist, and philanthropist;

  • Anna Astvatsaturian Turcotte, JD, President of Westbrook City Council, banking executive, philanthropist and an author with personal experiences as an Armenian refugee from Azerbaijan.

Moderated by Paul Proudian, ACA of Maine Board Member, these experts will provide invaluable insights into a complex global issue.

Kotwica Benefit Concert

Join the Kotwica Band at St. Church in Bar Harbor on November 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm for a special concert to benefit Armenian refugees from Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh. Admission to the concert is free. Donations will be collected on behalf of the Armenian Relief Society. This program is proudly co-sponsored by the Armenian Cultural Association of Maine.
