Armenian Cultural Association
of Maine
We are dedicated to cultivating, celebrating, and preserving Maine’s Armenian community and culture.
Interested in getting involved? We’d love to hear from you.
Bring the whole family to Winslow Park for an afternoon of Armenian food, live music, and good company. Join us Sept. 13 from noon - 4pm to gather under the pines on the water, share a meal, dance, and let the kids run. This picnic is how we keep our culture alive and rooted right here in Maine. Save your spot and join us.
This picnic is possible thanks to the people who show up early and stay late. If you'd like to lend a hand, please reach out to Raffi DerSimonian at rdersimonian@gmail.com.
A Conversation with Nadine Takvorian
Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 11:00 a.m. ET | Live on Zoom
Join us for an hour with award-winning author and illustrator Nadine Takvorian, whose debut graphic novel Armaveni has earned starred reviews and is bringing national attention to a history too many people still don't know.
Nadine sits down with ACA board member Carolyn Nishon to talk about the book, the eight years she spent making it, and what it means to tell a family's story when the world has spent a century denying it happened.
